Introducing 'Glass Ceiling'

Welcome to my blog, where I will be recording the design journey for the game 'Glass Ceiling'.

Glass Ceiling has been conceived as a role-playing game, allowing players to explore the experiences of modern girls and women in an intrinsically sexist society.

As both a feminist and a gamer, I hope that this game will offer an opportunity for players of both genders to develop greater empathy with challenges faced by women in a variety of life situations. These could include education, work, socialising, relationships, motherhood, and ageing.

I will be developing the design of the game over the latter half of 2016 as part of my Masters' degree in Game Development (Design) at Kingston University.

Expect regular posts as I define and progress various elements of the game, from mechanics and levels to character creation and aesthetic choices.
